PAUL COLLINS is a leading contemporary violin, viola and cello maker. Dedicated to making instrument of the highest quality for the professional player.

He has been making fine violins, violas and cellos for the past 40 years. Paul graduated from the Newark School of Violin Making in 1984. He uses traditional methods established by the great Italian masters such as Stradivari and Guarneri. 

Paul makes his instruments to the modern, transitional or baroque set up. All are made from the finest materials selected for their acoustic and aesthetic properties. 

Wood is a precious resource. “I believe that it is my responsibility to craft the wood to produce beautiful instruments. They delight musicians and audiences now and for many future generations”.

He is proud that his instruments are played in many of the world’s leading orchestras including:
