Violas

The full rich sound of a viola is unlike a big violin or small cello but unique to the viola. Over many years I have developed my own model for violas. Based on a viola by Gasparo da Salo which I was fortunate to draw and measure. It had been cut down which has given me the licence to make it in several sizes ranging from 390mm to 420mm. The most popular sizes tend to be in the middle at 400mm and 410mm. This model has a beautiful sound and many examples can be found in the worlds leading orchestras. I also enjoy making copies of Maggini and Guarneri.
